Industrial Panel Maintenance Checklist

A single loose connection in your main panel can halt your entire production line. Preventive maintenance is cheaper than emergency repairs.
Weekly Checks
- Visual Inspection: Look for any signs of soot, burn marks on breakers, or melted insulation.
- Strange Sounds: Listen for buzzing or humming noises from contactors (chattering).
- Indicator Lights: Ensure all Phase Indication lamps (R-Y-B) are glowing.
- Door Seal: Check that the panel door closes tightly to prevent dust entry.
Monthly Deep Clean (Power OFF Required)
⚠ WARNING: Always perform LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) before opening panel doors.
- Tightening: Use a torque screwdriver to tighten all terminal screws. Heat cycles loosen them over time.
- Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner (not blower) to remove dust. Dust can cause short circuits in humid weather.
- Thermal Scan: If available, use a thermal camera to find hotspots on busbars.
